Hot off her chart-topping new single 'Born Again' with Doja Cat and RAYE, and her stellar acting debut in The White Lotus season 3 - LISA continues her breakout year with even more big news. Next up, the BLACKPINK star is set to debut her very own graphic novel, ALTER EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC!
The comic book is meant to be a companion to her upcoming album Alter Ego, which is slated to drop on 28 February. The The 56-page effort published by the singer's newly launched company LaLisa Comics, in partnership with Zero Zero Entertainment.
Mirroring the themes of her LP, the comic book will focus on five characters named Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni and Speedi - each representing a distinct aspect of the global icon's multi-faceted personality.
The official synopsis reads: "Step into a neon-drenched cyberpunk city where Vixi—a quiet tech genius—prefers fixing arcade machines to seeking the spotlight. Despite her reserved nature, she becomes the unexpected bond that unites four remarkable friends: Roxi, a pressured social star yearning for genuine connection; Kiki, an unstoppable arcade champion with an unyielding spirit; Sunni, a gentle peacekeeper concealing her inner storms; and Speedi, a fearless risk-taker learning to slow down. When three ruthless bullies trap Vixi in a virtual reality nightmare, her friends dive headfirst into the digital battleground, proving that while Vixi may work alone, she never has to fight alone."
LISA's story brought to life by gorgeous art from MINOMIYABI, with dialogue by Brandon Montclare, backgrounds by Derick Jones, and colours by Fred Stresing. The comic is edited by by Josh Frankel.
Fans can pre-order ALTER EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC starting today via Lalisa Comics, with the first issue set to ship on 24 March.
