LISA's momentous year just keeps getting bigger. The BLACKPINK and The White Lotus star is now set to make history as the first-ever K-pop artist invited to perform at the Oscars. She is slated to appear alongside Doja Cat and RAYE at the 97th Academy Awards on 3 March.
Apparently LISA will not be performing 'Born Again', but the Academy did tease a “legendary performance” featuring the three pop music sensations.
Other performers include Wicked duo Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, who will bring Oz to the 2025 Oscars. The legendary Queen Latifah is also set to take the stage.
A press release stated that viewers can expect "showstopping performances celebrating the filmmaking community and some of its legends" from the announced musicians.
The ceremony, hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien, will also feature a special performance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Additional talent will be announced in the days leading up to the ceremony.
In a letter sent to Academy members, it was revealed that the 2025 Oscars would forgo the traditional live performances of the Best Original Song nominees as it has in years past.
