Vietnamese singer-songwriter and producer Mỹ Anh has dropped her new single ‘gentle, baby’, lifted from her upcoming EP phases of the moon, slated for release on 15 May.
‘gentle, baby’ draws on Mỹ Anh’s formal music training, effortlessly blending R&B and soul with call and response vocals drenched in her honeyed vocals and harmonies, 'gentle, baby’ is a classic R&B love song that came to life naturally and spontaneously during my first meeting with g0nny at a café in South Korea.
"As I take steps toward an international journey, I have had the chance to connect with artists from around the world, and g0nny was one of the first with whom I felt an instant creative synergy," explains Mỹ Anh.
"This song was one of those rare moments where the first idea became the final version. ‘gentle, baby’ explores the tentative yet undeniable feeling of new love, one that coexists with past wounds.
