Japanese virtual artist KAF has unveiled her latest release, a high-octane collaboration with game studio Hoyoverse’s action-RPG Zenless Zone Zero. Titled ‘Strobe’, the electrifying rock track serves as the image song for the in-game character Trigger, pairing KAF’s commanding vocals with arena-sized riffs and surging electronic energy.
A music video for ‘Strobe’ spotlighting Trigger’s story is now out, matching the song’s cinematic intensity with the character’s dramatic narrative arc. This latest installment in Zenless Zone Zero’s character image song series continues the franchise’s tradition of spotlighting genre-pushing creators, following viral releases like issey’s ‘MoeChakkaFire’.
‘Strobe’ lands at a pivotal moment in KAF’s global ascent. Known for using a digital avatar to front her emotionally charged music, the trailblazing singer made history as the first virtual artist to headline Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan and sell out arena shows. She’s now set to debut in the U.S. at Anime Central in Chicago on 17 May, followed by her first Indonesia appearance at I Love Anisong Jakarta on 7 June.
Debuting in 2018, KAF has become a defining voice in Japan’s virtual music scene, with millions of views across her original songs and covers. Her work is released via KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO, a cutting-edge Tokyo creative agency reimagining the boundaries between technology and art.
