Southeast Asia—it's your turn to show the rest of the world what you've got!
On 26 February (Monday), Warner Music Asia and Prism Studios, the entertainment studio of South Korea's TV network and producer SBS, announced their upcoming music audition TV series Its MVP. The talent search show is set to discover and showcase emerging idols from Southeast Asia in an effort to celebrate the rich and diverse music scene of the region.
Bringing the spotlight to contestants from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, Its MVP will first compete on a national level in their respective seasons. The winning group from each season will then advance to Korea to face off against each other in the show's final season to compete for the title of best group in the region.
"We are delighted to partner with Prism Studios to co-develop Its MVP, a groundbreaking cross-border music show," Jonathan Serbin, Co-Present of Warner Music Asia, shares in a statement. "This partnership not only showcases the strength of Warner Music Asia in the local music industry, but also underscores our commitment to supporting up-and coming artists and idols from across Asia. We believe that this show will provide an incredible opportunity for aspiring talents to shine on a regional stage."
"Through Its MVP, we aim to create a platform where dreams come true and where the next generation of idols can rise to stardom, engaging audiences across Asia and beyond," Chris Gobalakrishna, Co-Present of Warner Music Asia, adds.
