Legendary Thai rapper F.HERO and the highly-respected Chef Pom know exactly what the ingredients are to concocting an'Epic Night Out'. With their new collaboration, they bring the spotlight to the thrill of gastronomical discoveries on the streets of Thailand through Coca-Cola Foodmarks.
Building off of Coca-Cola's A Recipe for Magic campaign, 'Epic Night Out' is a track you'd love to bob your head to as you sample the local fare of Bangkok alongside an ice-cold bottle of Coke. Its vibrant music video encapsulates the overall experience as it follows F.HERO and Chef Pom, meeting for the first time as they embark on their own epic night out.
Bandwagon caught up with F.HERO to talk about what it was like working with Chef Pom and Coca-Cola Foodmarks, the diverse street food of Thailand, and his own 'Epic Night Out'.
What's it like working with Chef Pom for this track?
I was very excited to work with Chef Pom, having seen her on various program shows prior. Initially, I perceived her as serious, but after getting to work with her on the set of Coca-Cola Foodmarks, I found her to be very kind. Our conversations spanned a wide range of topics, revealing her warmth and openness.
There was this scene, in particular, where we had to do a special handshake. Despite my background as a Hip-Hop rapper, I struggled to grasp it. Surprisingly, Chef Pom effortlessly mastered the sequence before me. It made me think that she probably practiced this very often and very hard. She executed it with more finesse than I did during filming.
I deeply admire her professionalism and willingness to embrace new experiences for the next generation. Once again, her kindness shone through our interactions.
Tell us about filming the fun music video.
It's full of fun things. Firstly, it is an honor to work with Mr. Julian, who is a French director. It was also my first time working with an international production team.
The entirety of the production team hails from various corners of the globe; for example, the seamless cooperation between Ogilvy Singapore and Thailand, as well as behind-the-scenes crew and cameramen comprising entirely of international members.
Witnessing the caliber of world-class work is a marvel in itself. After each shoot, as I gaze upon the monitor, I'm consistently amazed by the precision of every shot and the artistry of every scene. From the masterful lighting techniques to the intricate choreography of camera movements, the experience of collaborating with Coca-Cola and the production and advertising teams has been an immense honor.

How would you describe an 'Epic Night Out' in Thailand?
I believe that our country is one that is abundant – there are fishes in the water, there is rice in the fields, hence, our food is quite diverse. One particular aspect of our allure is the thrill of indulging in street food, an experience we consider truly epic.
There are so many delicious foods all over the streets of Thailand that never fails to amaze me. Especially when it comes to more delicious meals, they simply must be savored with a refreshing Coca-Cola. For me, a delightful meal shared with friends, accompanied by the flavorful addition of Coca-Cola, transforms any evening into a perfect epic night out.
What has been your most 'Epic Night Out' so far?
Epic night out for me means going out to live life and share experiences with family and friends, and with the people we love. For me, it's about going out to eat street food, made better with a refreshing, cold Coca-Cola. With their pairing, the anticipation of an epic night out grows.
I'd like to invite everyone to join the Coca-Cola Foodmarks campaign and you'll know what an 'Epic Night Out' is. It's really cool!
