The Mandalorian and Grogu are headed to the big screen.
On 9 January (Tuesday), it was announced that Jon Favreau will be directing a new Star Wars movie titled The Mandalorian & Grogu. It will go into production this year.

Favreau will also be producing the upcoming film alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni.
"I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created," Favreau says in a statement. "The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting."
"Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have ushered into Star Wars two new and beloved characters, and this new story is a perfect fit for the big screen," Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, adds.
The Mandalorian was first introduced as a series on Disney+ with Pedro Pascal as the titular bounty hunter. Season 3 of the series wrapped up in April 2023 with a fourth season coming soon.
