The music industry certainly has no shortage of charismatic and colourful personalities, but few are as outlandishly unique as Oliver Tree. The Los Angeles-based singer, producer and sketch comedian is widely known for his satirical and quirky public persona, which perfectly complements his indie pop meets hip-hop brand of dance music.

From the off-kilter songs on his three acclaimed albums (Ugly Is Beautiful, Cowboy Tears and Alone in a Crowd) to his wonderfully weird music videos - Oliver Tree proves that he isn't simply popular because he's an amusing oddity, he's popular because he's making some of the most singularly idiosyncratic art in a field awash with homogeneity.

If you aren't familiar with the work of this bizzaro meme machine, get to know Oliver Tree through 5 of his weirdest music videos. And then catch him at MARQUEE Singapore, where he'll be performing on Saturday, 20 July.

'Life Goes On'

Tree's viral hit about toxic relationships gets a surreal, self-directed music video as he's surrounded, supported and eventually carried away by other versions of himself.

'Miss You'

A collaboration with German producer Robin Schulz, Tree unleashes his inner clown as disrupts everyone's daily lives with his frenetic behaviour in his self-directed video.

'Let Me Down'

Dressed up in his signature outfit with a pair of comically outrageous headphones, Tree rides a scooter to a pink set before belting out his punk-flavoured anthem with a bunch of toy props.

'Miracle Man'

After crashing his car, Tree attempts to evade nefarious physicians in hazmat suits attempting to operate on him. His escape route includes an attempted robbery and a piano falling from the sky.

'All That x Alien Boy'

Tree gets hit by a minivan, wreaks havoc with a monster truck, speeds through the desert on a pocket rocket, and rides a white horse while hoisting a bazooka. Just a regular day for our bowl-cutted leading man.

Dr. Oliver Tree performs at MARQUEE Singapore on Saturday, 20 July. Get your tickets here.
