The Japanese quartet announced that "CHAI will eternalize NEO KAWAII (=parting ways as a band)". In an official statement, the band shared that to continue their "journey of self-love" and to fulfil their own personal visions, they have decided to part ways.

Thanking fans for their support throughout the years, CHAI added: "TEN-KYUUUU so much for everything! We love you so much, now and forever♡♡♡".
