After a 3-year release hiatus, Malaysian alternative rock band Midnight Fusic makes glorious comeback with their latest single, 'Residue'. The song is the first single upcoming EP, Modus Operandi.
With its unmistakable early 2000s rock influence, the track displays a more mature sound compared to their previous releases, showcasing the band’s evolution while staying true to their indie roots.
“This song reflects the growth we’ve experienced over the past few years, both as a band and as individuals,” says vocalist Arif Kamarudin. “We wanted to pay homage to the music that shaped us while exploring deeper emotions and themes.”
Modus Operandi is slated for release in May 2025, and it promises to be Midnight Fusic’s most ambitious project yet, with 'Residue' serving as a captivating preview of what’s to come. The EP delves into themes of love, self-reflection, and resilience, solidifying the band’s reputation for delivering authentic, relatable music to their listeners.
